Trevor McLaughlin is a metalsmith and lapidary artist with a studio currently based in San Francisco, California. A Board member and instructor at the San Francisco Gem and Mineral Society, a lapidary club based in San Francisco, he is creating fusions of intarsia cabochons and producing superior inlay jewelry.
Trevor found his passion for jewelry in the winter of 2018, walking around Crested Butte, Colorado. While exploring a jewelry store, he found a Zuni made sterling silver ring inlaid with green Gaspeite, which caught his eye. After purchasing the ring, it became a staple of Trevor's wardrobe and appreciation for fine craft. More importantly, his inspiration along with the first steps of an artisan's path.
His seal of craftsmanship has been certified by the Graduate Bench Jeweler Program at the New Approach School for Jewelers in 2023. Gathering available literature and applying established jewelry-making techniques, he forms material, solders metal, and creates limited yet timeless pieces in small quantities for custom orders.
